This major mainly cultivates talents with the basic theories of literature of drama, film and television and the ability to create scripts, film and television, to write and direct. With a high level of foreign language and a broad international perspective, students are able to work in domestic and foreign theaters or television stations, film and television production companies. Length of Study and Degree Award

The standard length of schooling is 4 years, and the study can be completed within 3-6 years. Students who meet the requirements for granting a bachelor's degree in Xuchang University can be awarded a bachelor's degree in art from Xuchang University. Students can also go to a foreign partner university to continue studying after two years of studies at Xuchang University. If the bachelor's degree is granted by the foreign partner university, the corresponding degree will be awarded by the partner university.
