Introduction to Visual Communication Design(Sino-US)

Training Objectives

       This major aims to cultivate talents with comprehensive development in moral, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics. Students are also qualified to apply basic theories and professional skills into practice. The major is designed for students seeking the employment ability and professional quality. The major requires students to understand the essential concept of visual communication design and have capability in finding and solving issues. Students are required to master all kinds brand design and information design as the core ability, extend to the field of packaging design, advertising design fields, and have the foreseeing ability to develop professional field. Students are required to have the high level of foreign language and broad international vision. The major aims to cultivate compound talents to prepare themselves for careers in visual communication design, research, teaching and management fields in professional design departments, colleges, scientific research institutes and public institution departments .

Length of Study and Degree Award

The standard length of schooling is 4 years, and the study can be completed within 3-6 years. Students who meet the requirements for granting a bachelor's degree from Xuchang University can be awarded a bachelor's degree in art from Xuchang University. Students can also go to a foreign partner university to continue studying after two years of studies at Xuchang University. If the bachelor's degree is granted by the foreign partner university, the corresponding degree will be awarded by the partner university.
