Training Objectives

       This major aims to cultivate talents with all-round moral, intellectual and physical development, who systematically master the basic dance theory, basic knowledge and basic skills necessary for dance education, have high cultural literacy, strong artistic expression and comprehensive practical ability of dance, have theoretical knowledge of dance science and dance education, and have the ability to organize social cultural and artistic activities. With a high level of foreign language and a broad international vision, students are able to engage in dance education and art activities in primary and secondary schools, enterprises and social training institutions.

       Ballet Basic Training, Classical Dance Basic Training, Body Rhyme, Modern Dance, Dance Performance, Dance Teaching Method，Dance Creation, Choreography, Children's Dance Creation, Repertoire and Stage Performance, Chinese Folk Dance, Dance Rehearsal, etc.

Length of Study and Degree Award

       The standard length of schooling is 4 years, and the study can be completed within 3-6 years. Students who meet the requirements for granting a bachelor's degree from Xuchang University can be awarded a bachelor's degree in art from Xuchang University. You can also go to a foreign partner university to continue studying after two years of studies at Xuchang University. If the bachelor's degree is granted by the foreign partner university, the corresponding degree will be awarded by the partner university.
